Location was great. Could use some updates, especially in the bathroom. Shower pressure not too good. Shower got hot and cold as you showered

Terrible experience! We stayed in room 230 and there were rats !! We could not sleep the whole night, they were squeaking and making a lot of noise. I called the front office and they said: “in Lake Tahoe are no rats, we are in the wilderness, maybe it is a raccoon or a squirrel”. Seriously!! It was a 4th of July vacation, planning to have a lot of fun and good sleep at night, paying $500 per night and that is their excuse? We are in the wilderness…. A lot of rats between the walls!!

Biggest issue was that in their drive for modernization they installed sliding doors for bathroom that had no way of locking them. plus there is no exhaust out of bathrooms so no real circulation esp on winter days. Additionally the rooms were cramped with very little space to move around. only positive thing is that its very close to the heavenly village area so you can walk to it without worrying about parking.

As I was leaving another guest was telling his family let’s get out of this dump . Overcharged for a room that looked like this. Can I have some kind of refund?.

The location was perfect!!! The room was big enough for two. The cleaning not so great. Lashes and hair around the sink and floors. Walls and shower dirty and hair on the towels that were left in the room for us to use.

My husband & I always stay here. It’s centrally located & always a great value.

The noise level is extremely high and the refrigerator did not work in the room. also the room smelled like smoke from the bedding to the room walls.

The room is small, but no big deal we were in Tahoe, we spent most of the time outside. The property is spread out and we were down the road away from the office which was inconvenient when we needed something or wanted to pick up breakfast. The room was supposed to have been recently renovated, but there was torn parts of sheet rock, dim track lighting and fixtures above the bed that did not work and were only loosely attached to the wall. The pool was missing a big section of tiles. When we called to get more TP ( no daily room cleaning due to COVID-19) it never arrived. Staff was friendly when checking in and on the phone. It was a great location, close to restaurants and to the beach.

The front desk was told about the bathroom toilet that was leaking and constantly refilling. After the flapper valve was replace the contractor had the lift chain in the up position that the valve never re-seated and water continued to flow down the drain. After I reset the chain length the flapper valve did close. What a Pain... Next there was no HEAT or AC. It appears that the AC unit had not operated for several years due to the dust that was expelled during the ON function and turned off. Again mentioned to the front desk. AND as last mention, the elevator current inspection placard was not displayed, and is required to visible to elevator riders that the elevator inspection is current.

The location of the hotel was great. It was our favorite thing about the hotel. But we were very disappointed with the cleanliness of our room. The toilet had dried pee all around it. You could smell the urine and the floor was not swept or mopped. Both our windows had no springs. The window in the bathroom kept rattling all day and night which made having a good night sleep impossible. When all of this was brought up to the staff at checkout, the response was: it was to windy. But yet the window that faced the street didn’t rattle all night. It seemed the window in the bathroom was poorly installed or a temporary fix.

There was quite a bit of mold on the ceiling of the shower. A simple cleaning or paint would fix the issue but is a direct result of a lack of care.

Staff was kind, but hidden fees, damaged reading lights and a very poor and basic breakfast took away from what could have been a great experience.

Hotel staff does not care for greetings. They were rude over the phone before we checked in. They are rude in totality. Had to call 2 times for a toiletry and still no one came after they said they will "run it down", we were there 2 hours!. Their key cards never worked. We had to go in to the office or call them to show them they didnt work every time we retuned to the room. A lot of people were having the same problems. They did not express any feelings of being sorry for any inconvinience. They never thanked us for our stay or asked for feed back. Not even a smile. I could not stand their stern and cold faces. Customer service retraining for the whole staff I would say!
