I stayed at Doc's cottage for 1 night in Aug 2021. The check in experince was great. The lady who work in the front desk was kind and nice. She walked me to the room show me the room. The location is great, you can walk to the beach but the closet beach is charge for $25 a person to get in. However, the value of the room is not really worthed to pay $260 a night. The cottage is small. There is one bedroom but it is as big as the bed. When I closed the door, I could not really breath, so doing a night I have to turn on a ceiling fan which makes noise. So I barely get to sleep at all. The furnitures are very old, bed sheets is so worn out. Moreover, the bed is uncomfotable. It is making noise every time to move around or get on,off the bed. I feel like I stayed in 1 stay hotel.

Cottages are cute and very conveniently located. Staff is friendly and helpful and I loved that my dogs were welcome!

Clean and convenient! So close to casinos/restaurants and parking is free. Quick 10 minute walk to the beach. It's a great value for the price. We'll stay here again.

Historical and quaint cottages within walking distance of the lake, a beach and casinos.

I stay at hotels in half of the world. I always appreciate a historic place in Charleston, or New Orleans. But I also like a five diamond hotel as well. This is not a glitzy place to stay. If that’s your cup of tea stay elsewhere. Right in the middle of all the action, and casinos is a grove of trees close to the lake. In it are a small amount of cabins that are quaint but charming. Parking is the best anywhere I’ve stayed. You have your own deck and privacy. What adds to the stay are the two owners who love the place it’s history, and the people who stay. How refreshing is that. They have incredible stories, and treat you like THEY ARE LUCKY TO HAVE YOU STAY WITH THEM. I know it’s normally the other way around. Just a fantastic place, in a fantastic location, run by wonderful people. Isn’t that what your on vacation for? It almost made me forget about my back injury. 5 plus stars.

Love these cute cottages close to downtown South Tahoe & the snow.

Convenient for walking. Privacy nice. Very clean.
