It was a great place to stay. Convenient to everything local. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Would go back again

Beautiful property and great hospitality. The staff were very helpful and gave us a good send off.

The hotel was was wonderful. The staff were all so kind and helpful. The new Huihui restaurant was delicious and the afternoon and evening music was delightful. We are within walking distance to restaurants, hotel restaurants, cruises, blackrock, and shopping. The hotel room overlooked the beach, was so comfortable and had the most beautiful views. I would definitely and will hopefully be able to go back.

This spot is amazing for first timers. I found it to be affordable for everything it included. Minute walk to the beach and a bunch of stores/food along the strip. Staff was so helpful and so friendly

I love how authentic this property is- no chain feel and seemed very local compared to the hyatts and sheratons. The restaurant had just reopened and had fabulous views, good food and was so easy for breakfast and dinner. Renting snorkel equipment and using the concierge was great and again, so easy. The pool area was warm, lots of seating and snorkeling right on the beach in front of the hotel was gorgeous. Just a few minute walk to shops at Whalers Village, and a quick walk on the beach to Black Rocks to jump into the ocean and snorkel with turtles! Rooms have not been renovated but they were clean, comfortable and a/c worked well. I really liked it here.

The location is hard to beat

Beautiful location on the beach. We stayed in the not-yet-renovated side. The room was older, but as expected. The service was disappointing. Check in was not welcoming. The front desk didn’t give me a wristband until I asked and just handed it to me. Not especially secure. We found that no one had made the beds after the first day and inquired at the front desk. Due to Covid, I’m not surprised when hotels have limited cleaning services but expect that someone tells me at check in. The desk told me service was “up to the housekeeper” but the sheets would be changed every 3 days. On the third day, the power went out while we were doing laundry. When we called the front desk, they had no idea how long the outage would last (construction related) and that the laundry wouldn’t work. Thanks... I know that. I had to remove the laundry from the washer and hang dry everything before it molded. The housekeeper came during that time. We had to convince her to finally change the sheets. She didn’t clean any surfaces and was visibly annoyed that we asked her to clean. We complained to the assistant manager, who was extremely helpful and sympathetic. She asked the front desk to help process our credit for the situation. That person began arguing with her and asking why we should get anything. This will be a great hotel after the renovation but abysmal service. In comparison, my family stayed in the renovated section: beautiful modern room, daily housekeeping and no issues.

Great staff from start. Room was new with great ocean view, free and convenient parking. The whalers village was just 5 minutes walk away. Property getting renovated but not too bad. Will be exellent when finished. We will book here again for sure

I like the location right on the beach and close to Lahaina. Had nice open grass areas for lounging. Rooms could be updated but were fine. This was our 2nd stay because of the affordability.

Nothing much unique. No USB ports. Furniture a bit old and scuffed, but clean. My room location was next to the stairs on the third floor and very noisy with suitcases being banged up and down the stairs. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Grounds were nice.

Old property but we knew that. Many activities within reach and shuttle bus was convenient. Great breakfast buffet. Loved the bread pudding!

The property fronts a beautiful beach. Snorkeling and body surfing are easily accessible. A number of restaurants and shopping are less than 1000 feet away. The grounds are well kept. Parking fee is reasonable (rent a convertible!). The best thing was a complimentary shower room. Our check out was at 11:00 and our flight was at 6:30. We hung out on the beach until 2:00 and then had access to a guest room to shower and clean up before making the drive to the airport—no charge. The staff was very friendly. I was impressed!

The front end manager was absolutely horrible. There was no ownership around the issue and there was no thought on keeping the customer happy or providing and solutions. Her response was, "I am providing solutions, you just don't like those solutions." I manage a multi-million dollar business and if I or any of my employees provided the level of customer service that this hotel did I would no longer have anything to manage.
