This is the first time we’ve stayed in a B&B in Key West after decades of going there. We wanted the old town, cottage style feel. We usually stay in resorts style hotels close to Duval, I.e. Ocean Key Resort, The Hilton, Waldorf Historia, etc. by staying in pricey hotels you typically don’t get the personalized service you would expect or deserve However, The Grand Guesthouse provided us with impeccable personal service. The continental breakfast was very good to get you on to the start of your day. The 4:00 Happy hour was delightful, wine, beer and snacks. I must say that John, the General Manager is an amazing host and Mila(?) the maid was awesome. We were always delighted to walk into our room to find her creations she would leave behind. We stayed in Room #3, king room which was fully updated and by far the best room! I recommend requesting that room. The pictures on their website doesn’t do the place justice, I recommended they get professional photography done, lol. I’m posting a few good pics to give you a better idea of what the room and grounds look like. We will definitely stay there again and request room #3!

We had an amazing 3 night stay! The photos don't do this place justice! It was so cute, so clean and in the perfect location. John was a delight to talk to every morning and he even helped us book a tour. It was such a great get away, we will for sure be back!

Very spacious room; nice happy hour and great breakfast; staff friendly. Walking distance to Key West Ferry but far enough from craziness on Duval street. Property is like a little oasis, with lovely outdoor seating and a gurgling fountain.

Cute place. Walkable, although long walk to mallory square. Great host.

This was our first stop on a several city tour and the Grand Guesthouse was perfect. Nestled on a small side street that is walking distance from everything we wanted to see, this quaint house was super clean and well appointed. If you don’t want to walk they also rent bicycles. Steve and John shared info and tips to make the stay on Key West even more enjoyable. Small touches made it clear that the owners have put a lot of thought into what a guest would need to feel at home. We would definitely stay there again!

John the property manager was so friendly and really thought of so much to accommodate his guests. I would stay here again for sure.

The staff was extra friendly and accommodating, they made us feel as if we were at home.

Upon check in (which was early) John did everything he could to make our stay great. He told us all about the property and the what was expected during our stay. Next, he helped us plan a few activities during our stay including some excellent restaurants to visit. Overall, our stay at The Grand Guesthouse was fantastic and would highly recommend to others!

The Grand Guesthouse was quiet and homely. The room area was a bit small.

We loved it. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Everything is close by. Our room was clean. The bed was comfortable. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Great location and wonderful privacy. It is easy to locate.

Our stay at The Grand Guesthouse was perfect from the signin until saying see you next time. John was the perfect host, friendly and informative. The rooms were clean beyond my expectation, I was unable to find dust or dirty any where, including the glass outdoor table, and I looked. I would gladly recommend the GG to anyone visiting Key West.

All was nice. Clean. Friendly. Breakfast and happy hour

Excellent experience. The property is an 11-minute walk to Duval Street, in a quiet neighborhood. Lovely patio with tropical landscaping. Highly recommend Room #2 for a couple - you get a private patio! Room is small but nicely appointed. Breakfast was not expansive but definitely sufficient. Superb water pressure and very hot! Comfortable bed and quality linen. Clean, clean, clean. Charming staff, all very helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

You’ll never find a better place to stay in the keys from jasmine at the front desk to the attention to details over all couldn’t be happier with our stay

Our stay was beyond our expectations. The location allowed us be in a real Key West neighborhood. We could walk or bike to the beach or Duval Street. Owner, Kathy, and Mgr John were our personal guides to the island. They made us feel like VIP's. The room was as clean as any I have ever stayed in. Ella, the housekeeper, is the best. I would recommend the Grand Guesthouse to anyone, unless they prefer a slick chain hotel experience.

From the minute you walk in, you feel at home. The greeter was extremely nice, recommended nice restaurants for good prices. There's happy hour everyday with snacks, yummy breakfasts, etc. Minutes away from the beach. I definitely recommend this place but not suitable for spring breakers. This is a great place to stay at if you want to get away from the city.

Shared the 2 bedroom room with a friend for a girls long weekend. We rented the bikes right on property and it was a close ride to everything we wanted to see. Guest wise the hotel was very quiet. The patio garden area was nice. We only had the continental breakfast once. I have celiacs so the only gluten free options we hardboiled eggs, and some fruit. They also had breakfast cereals and packaged pastries. The room itself seemed nice. The matress and pillows weren't anything to write home about. The room smelled fine when the air conditioning was going, but started to smell a little musty/mildew when it was off (my friend turned it on eco cycle). I was also in the room without the ac unit in it and felt like it could have used a little more air movement to get it into the other room. Otherwise everything seemed clean other than the sink in the kitchenette could use some unclogging. Not sure if my friend had the same problem, but sleeping in the room near the courtyard/breakfast area I could hear something clicking outside for what seemed like all night long. Eventually I slept through it, but it was annoying especially the first night or two.

As I probably told you the best part of my job is helping our guests get the most out of an often too short stay, but it is always nice to hear it. Please keep us in mind for your next visit to our little island. Regards, John Prins The Grand Guesthouse

Hello, Thank you for the great score! Since we are located in a residential neighborhood it is always quiet and peaceful at The Grand Guesthouse despite being just a few short blocks from Duval St. and almost everything that our guest are looking to visit in Key West. We've kept the same floorplan and charm of our building to help preserve both the history and "island feel" which allows us to offer what we believe is an authentic Key West experience. Each of our rooms do have their own vibe and layout from our most economical Quaint Queen to our Deluxe Suites. We do offer current pictures and descriptions including dimensions for all of them. We hope to see you again on your next trip to paradise. Regards, John Prins The Grand Guesthouse
