Property was not as depicted in the website. Rooms were dated and did not match the format of the website at all. There was a lot under renovation on property so there were a lot of construction fences and noise related to the renovations. The hotel pools were nice, staff at the pools were fun and outgoing but we were expecting more for the money we paid. The beaches were covered in seaweed and not cleaned the entire time we were there. There was a distinct smell of seaweed on the beach and next to the restaurant. The beaches were never raked and just wasn't some where we wanted to hang out. Unfortunately this was one of the biggest reasons why we selected the property. We talked with other guests around the property and most of them agreed this was a bait and switch vs. their expectations of the property. Was the resort nice? Well, it was medicore, and it did not meet our expectations. The photographers did a fine job of selling the property online. On the other hand, we did really enjoy the restaurant. We caught Mahi and brought it to have a "hook and cook." The waitress offered to bring out the chef who came out and offered to make us a custom cooked plate for our fish. We opted for a build your own taco plate and it came out beautiful and tasty. The plate had blackened and fried Mahi with Pico, Kimchi. Well done! I would recommend searching for another place until all the renovations have been completed and the hotel has been fully modernized.

Gorgeous hotel right on the water. Amenities aren’t the greatest right now with Covid. The staff at the bars were amazing. I can’t say the same thing for the staff at front desk. We were rushed with 6-7 people in with us into rooms because it was raining. We didn’t end up with the room we reserved. The front desk staff didn’t coordinate with each other and made our bill insane at $3100. Probably won’t stay at this pet of the resort again. But will other parts of southern most

The property is in a good location and the exterior of the building, the lobby, the pools, and the bar areas are pretty and in good condition. The first room we received was not clean. When we pulled the sheets back on both beds there were numerous hairs on the sheets and pillows. We were promptly moved to a different room because housekeeping had left for the day and there was no one to change the linens. T Bedding in the new room was clean. However, one of the towel racks was almost pulled completely off the bathroom wall, the grout/tile on the bottom of the shower and into the bathroom was cracked where the wall meets the floor, the soap dish in the shower was cracked almost completely in two, the wood along the base of the vanity mirror was coming apart, and the lamp shade on the bedstand was broken and would not stay straight. I expect better for more than $500/night. I reported all of the issues to the front desk immediately and they were very nonchalant...said thank you and that was it. I commented again at checkout and again the attendant told me thanks and then added they were going to refurbish the room soon. I was surprised at the lack of interest inhearing about the room's condition. On the otherhand, all of the housekeeping staff we encountered were extremely helpful and pleasant as were all of the bartenders at the oceanside bar.

We stayed at the La Mer House at Southernmost Beach Resort. We were next to a pool, the beach and the Cafe. It was perfect.

Quiet end of town yet close enough to walk to historic sites.

Right on the beach, has pools, restaurant and bar, close to Duval street and all shops. The site is clean and beautiful. Did not like understaffing resulting to slow service, pool side sitting area limited, and loud people after 9 pm next door or the pool area.

Price paid on orbitz is only a fraction of what they charge. There’s additional $45 per night amenity fee and $28 a night to park in the hotel parking lot. No cleaning daily, showers leaked all over floors. Tried repeatedly to get copy of final bill they said was emailed to me and was not. Wasn’t in spam filter either. So still don’t know exactly how much they ended up charging additional. Will have to review with my credit card. Very shady to charge more and not even mention on orbitz when you book. No elevator have to carry your luggage upstairs, no bell service was even offered. Would never stay here again. Rooms were what you would expect for a $150 per night hotel, not $600 per night. Be prepared to have roosters crowing outside your door from 3 am til 9 am. Go to a B&B.

First time we visited Key West and Sothernmost Beach Resort. Overall we like the resort very much. The location is perfect! It’s in walking distance of all the attractions, restaurants, and bars on Duval or Whitehead Streets. The hotel offers 3 pools - the one near the beach was always busy, so we chose the Pineapple bar pool or the Tranquility pool. Both were nice, quiet, and allowed us to relax. The rooms were spacious and clean. My wife liked the shelving around the mirror in the bathroom. It allowed us to keep our stuff off the counter which gave us more room.

No housekeeping for the duration of our stay. Very disappointing.
