It has such a Cozy New England charm. It really does fit the title of a classic New England hotel.

We arrived late and hungry. Kris and Roy at the front desk offered us bagels and danish and answered all our questions. The restaurant, Seasons, is amazing. The food and service are top notch, and Jeff made us feel like part of the family. The property is beautiful and well maintained, the room was comfortable, and the staff is great. We'll be back.

Very outdated. Pixs dont show how outdated the place is

Bed was comfortable and room clean staff was pleasant on check in

The only thing that we did not like was the mattress, it was very lumpy, with all of the padding and toppers on it, as soon as it was to one side or the other it was uncomfortable. Everyone was friendly, was relatively quiet area, room was very clean. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff was friendly and the facility was clean.

The staff was very nice and accommodating for both early check-in and late check out. They were super friendly each time we passed the front desk also. The room was very spacious and clean. I would say that the beds weren't the most comfortable though.

Clean, comfortable, and room service breakfast was delicious.

Clean and comfortable. Staff not overly attentive and continental breakfast is marginal

Charming hotel, all was great, wish there were refrigerators in the rooms though.

Loved the main hotel. First had us in the front 2 story brick building. I stated that did not look like web pictures & was upset. She then upgraded us to a room in the building I saw on line. Very old school elegant with classical music playing as you entered the front door. Grand staircase & beautiful grounds. Our room was very large & so was bathroom. It overlooked the outdoor patio with string lights & the beautiful trees that climbed up the hill. Dining was great with a beautiful view of grounds from every table. Loved this place so quiet.

Very loud bathroom fan ... promptly tried to fix but didn't quite get it right. The room was old. The windows were hard to open and close. One of the window screens had a hole about 3 inches by 4 inches in it. The carpets were very worn. The bed was too soft ... and with overly heavy comforter.

This is the first time I have stayed in the older part of the hotel. What a difference in comfort and cleanliness! It felt more like a nice motel. if you choose to stay here ask for rooms in the new building.

We felt welcomed. The staff was very friendly. Excellent food in the restaurant. We will definitely stay there again.

Great place with a lot of character. Friendly staff.

Very nice facilities. Was a pleasant stay. No unpleasant suprises. I will stay here again.

We were in town for a few days to see family and take a couple of trips to NYC and upstate Mass. The Avon Old Farms was the perfect base for a fall adventure, the leaves on Avon mountain may have been the most beautiful we saw the entire time. Two hours from Boston, two from NYC and one from the Mohawk Trail in upstate Mass. Our room was great. The beds and pillows are super comfortable--a family member told me that you used to be able to buy the mattress you slept on, and that it wasn't uncommon for people to take them up on this offer. We didn't suffer from any traffic noise. The only downside is that the hotel is old and you can see it in a few places. The baseboards in the room appear to be real wood and have seen some better days. The bathroom is unremarkable, outside of the noisy fan/heater.

My daughter and I traveled from out of state for the purpose of wedding planning. The location was perfect for where we needed to go.The lobby of the hotel is charming and the staff is very pleasant. Our only complaint was the air quality of the room. It smelled very musty, almost a like a combination of smoke, pet and mold. Our complaint was noted and we resorted to managing with air freshened.

An excellent property, management and staff. We will definitely stay in this hotel again if the opportunity presents itself. We spent five nights and found the location to be ideal for our area visit.
