The property could use some TLC. We were concerned it would be noisy, but it was very quite. The room needs updating, but was comfortable.

TV and toilet did not work.

looks like it was really nice at one point..kinda run down and spider webs in our room and we had to kill a few spiders...people were very nice and pleasant...prpoerty just need some work

The room smelled like weed the minute you walk in. The kitchen light has a short in it, the kitchen sink drips water constantly. The roofs are covered with pine needles, huge fire hazard. Will never stay frre again. Old and run down !!!!

there were no double rooms available so i paid extra for a studio that said it slept 3. there was one queen bed. they brought a cot but no blankets . The TV didn't work and i rely on the tv to sleep. I reported it but they did not offer to fix it or change rooms I did call a second time to ask to be moved but there was nothing available. I told her how disappointing it was but was not offered an apology there used to be a great breakfast i understand corona virus but they had small cups for coffee and a small muffin and to get to the ice machine you pretty much had to drive

We absolutely loved Northern Queen! We were not expecting it to be fancy or modern, it is neither. But all that is reconciled by it's charm, character and location. Cabin #314 was awesome, loved the balcony and fireplace. When I called ahead they advised to bring utensils which was helpful, as the kitchenette is not well stocked but with a few things from our camping supplies we were able to cook & grill nice meals every night. Walking around the property was really fun & our 7 year old daughter was really into the railroad theme. Already recommended to some friends who are checkin in today :)

We liked a privacy of living in a cabin and being able to have two rooms.

I enjoyed my stay but the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen were dirty and so was the floor. They did not take a lot of time cleaning it before my arrival after the last person staying there

Nice hotel in a beautiful, woodsy setting. Check in and checkout staff super friendly. The hot included breakfast was a nice plus.

Loved the location, the grounds are beautiful! The cabin was old, dated, and did smell of smoke even though it said non smoking. Breakfast was not fully stocked until the end of the time posted, was disappointed when I arrived 20 min prior to end of serving time to very little food

Thomas is a 5 STAR employee all the way!!! The cleaning team could use some coaching. And the woman who checked me out (i did not get her name) did not even say "Sorry" when i told her about the clearly non-cleaned floor in the bathroom area. i still love this place, but i wish they would have me come and train their staff (other than Thomas who just deserves a raise!! ;) so that they would be an even better establishment. Yes the property is old and outdated, but i am grateful for that because it keeps the rooms affordable which is a total blessing for the area!

The place is beautiful!!! Amazing view and amenities for the price! Staff was super kind and accommodating. Although due to PG&E power shut off all the power was out including the hot water that was a bummer m, however the staff gave us extra blankets and we just bought candles it was perfect!

The free breakfast was a bit of an abomination and the eating area itself felt like something out of an old folks home. Depressing—I never ate there. The property itself was fine. It’s outdated but the room was spacious and clean. It was a decent value for the money and in a very quiet area.

It did the job. There were no curtains on the windows so it was bright inside the room at night from the outdoor lights and the walls are pretty thin so there was a bit of noise but overall we had a good experience.

I did not like the shabbiness of the buildings. A simple coat of paint would do wonders. The bathtub was dripping dreadfully. What a waste of water. I did not like that one of our two rooms was supposed to be ready, but actually was not. We had asked for rooms in the same vicinity, it was not honored, two buildings away, and the place was fairly empty that Sunday night. I did not like that the guy checking us out said he removed the charges from my card and placed them on my husband's. So far I still see the charges on my AmEx card. Will be following up on that. I did love the waterfall. And the breakfast was nice.

always enjoy staying here nice staff good breakfast pets always welcome

The check in process was a bit of a mess. The line was long when I got there which was understandable because it was Victorian Christmas. There were 2 men checking people in, however one seemed to have to redo, the work of the other man, and it took a long time to get rooms. Our room was not as clean as I had anticipated. The toilet seat had black marks on it which I was able to rub right off with toilet paper, however that meant it hadn't been cleaned. In addition to the toilet seat being dirty, the handle on the toilet was broken. Every time you flushed it the handle dangled out of the toilet and the toilet would run until it was pushed back in. That night there was a fight on the floor above us. For an hour, starting at 1 AM there was yelling and jumping and running on the floor and room above us. This wasn't the fault of the hotel, but I do wish there had been security to settle things down up there. We come here every year for Victorian Christmas and stay in this hotel, this was just not one of our better stays.
