We thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool and hott tub area. The free breakfast was plentiful, with lots of different options to please everyone. We are very pleased with our stay.
The elevator would not stay open when you tried to hold it back. My sister wound up spilling HOT coffee on her hand the first day. The second day, the elevator would not stop because a staff person pushed my sister out of the way and the door ran over her foot. It took her foot along with it to close and took a chunk off the top of her foot. The staff started to argue that it was her fault. She did not even have a chance to reach the inside button. They did not offer any first aid for her on either accident. We stayed 4 days and by the second day there was NO sausage and the eggs were crunchy from being reheated the previous days. I told the guy to dump them in the garbage. Everything was better on Friday when we left.
hotel is very clean, great staff very helpful my stay was very great
Overall good hotel. Breakfast could use some TLC. Needs some cleaning on halls and common areas. Other than that it's a good option when visiting Galveston. 15 min from the beach
Very comfortable and cozy rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.
Pauline was very friendly she checked us in and out. The pool was super user friendly, it was warm and salt water. The king suite was big with pull out sofa for kids. First stay at a Hampton Inn, but they are nice for sure.
Had a problem getting a decent car rental out of Houston ($700) so booked one down in Texas City for $280 for 8 days. Took a private drive limo for $125 and the hotel cost I was STLL below the Houston price. Car rental was a walk across the parking lot..perfect! And our return will be close enough for taxi to cruise. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the room was comfortable and clean and they did a good job of keeping it up although it was older. They even named their elevator (funny). In the morning I was shocked to see a mall connected to the Sears where we rented the car and thought 'this is a great deal' until we took a walk and found the entire mall (except Sears) was shut down! Nice pool and exercise room. Buffett across the parking lot. I don't like buffets so cannot rate it, but their is food close by for a walk. This was a good deal for the price and I would recommend it.
Good friendly staff. Breakfast was okay. Loved my room
returned to room at 5:00pm on Sat afternoon and it was not cleaned yet. Had to go get our own clean towels and washcloths
We came in early to pick up our son in Galveston (20 miles south) early on Sunday Morning. Before we left we booked our reservation for August.
