We could hear the people next door, very loud! Had to run the A/C on high to try and drown the noise. I would not stay at this property again.

Close to the beach. Cleanliness was okay (not the cleanest but not the dirtiest). Check in was easy. Good if you're not spending time in room. Not enough sheets. Wish there were at least vending/drink machines on property. Pool was not appealing. Provided small bar soap.

Everything in my room was dirty, I had to wear shoes the whole time because of how dirty the floors were. No towels in my room when I got there. Housekeeping was banging on the door at 8 am even with the do not disturb sign on the door

The room I was placed in looked absolutely nothing like what was shown online in the photos. I wasn’t even placed in the actual Winterset hotel but a side motel across the street with an unlocked gate. The bathroom wasn’t very clean and there was pubic hair in the soap dish with clean bars of soap placed directly on top of the hairs. Each day I stayed there one single hair was wiped away out of 20 that were in the soap dish. At the end of my stay there was still hairs present in the soap dish. The cleaning service didn’t actually clean the room and all they did was provide new towels and toilet paper. When I called the “main office” aka the front desk nobody responded. My toilet overflowed and I called the front desk several times to have someone come help fix the toilet and the staff never even realized nobody came to assist me.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathroom and kitchenette is quite outdated but OK. Only problem is AC which runs nonstop and is noisy. Location is good.

Hotel staff very courteous. Our booking was messed up and one of our friends had to go to a Nother hotel only to find our second reservation was in there Computer hours later. No soundproofing between rooms at all. Pools and ground were clean

We walked by the hotel and checked it out. The building looked remodeled and nice. We checked out the info online and the rooms looked great. When we checked in the front desk attendant appeared to be stoned out of her mind. There was incense coming from the back office. She took us to our room which happens to be in the un-remodeled hotel next door. It is a complete polar opposite of the one we thought we were getting. The room looked like something from 1955. The AC did not chill the room. The jalousie windows were scary, the blinds didn't close completely and everyone who walked by could look in. The bathroom was tiny and the paint (lead appearing) was flaking off the wall. The entire place could have at least been painted. There was no coffee maker. I travel every week for work, but this is the second worse place I've ever stayed in. Please confirm when you book your room that you are staying in the remodeled building or keep on looking!!!
