Flights Review

Mar 16, 2020

TSA ARE VERY RUDE. for a person that has flown twice since 9/11, 1st time tsa took my lucky coins, this time they were just plain rude! I can't read minds and you are scared to move wrong and if you don't. Over fast enough, they are just plain hateful.

Mar 16, 2020

exceptional food beautifully presented and excellent service

Mar 15, 2020

Great flight - no complaints whatsoever! Good job!

Mar 14, 2020

I tried at every stage to purchase an upgrade to Business class, sadly Delta flat out refused. It was heartbreaking to see business class mostly empty. I could not believe they didn’t want my money. Virgin policy is so much better than Delta.

First time in jet blue in years... great experience

Mar 13, 2020

One advantage of the corona virus is the planes are half empty. Quick boarding, early departure and landing.

Mar 12, 2020

Very friendly crew, comfortable seats, plenty of legroom.

Mar 12, 2020

Gate staff was very helpful after flight delay

Mar 11, 2020

The flight is fast and easy

Mar 10, 2020

The tv didn’t work on either of my flights

Mar 10, 2020

The flight leaving and arriving on time is the most important thing for an airline.

Miles of rugged coastline to explore, rampaging rivers to kayak and playful seals to encounter – Maine is New England at its very best.

Sample delicious fresh lobster, laze on pebbled beaches or sip craft beer in the small but achingly hip city of Portland. The sheer range of experiences on offer in the state is a big part of its appeal.

If you’re visiting for sunshine, then June through August is the time to go for the best beach weather. July is packed with beer festivals but this summer period also brings the crowds and higher room rates.

The fall is famed for its color changes, with brilliant hues of browns and oranges all around.

Winter is the time for skiing and snowmobiling and as spring arrives, and brings the sunshine back, the state once again bursts into life.

For the cheapest deals on flights and accommodation, visit in November and January, known as ‘shoulder season’

Main Airports in Maine

It serves the areas of central eastern and northern Maine, as well as some parts of Canada. There are up to 20 daily departures with a number of major domestic carriers.

How to Get to and Around Maine

Most major cities in the northwest of the US have direct flights to at least one of the state’s main airports. Travelers from further afield may have to change on route. Once landed, renting a car is always a good option in Maine. These are available from a choice of agencies at the airport. The state is large and fairly scarcely populated so a car gives you more freedom than relying on public transport. However, in some areas around Bangor, even public roads are rare so it’s worth planning your journey. For more adventurous travelers it is also possible to hire camper vans for your Maine adventure.

Public bus services connect the major towns and cities, with Greyhound lines stopping in Portland, Brunswick, Lewistown, Augusta and more. Other bus companies running services include Concord and Cyr Bus Lines.
