Clean, comfortable, safe with friendly staff. Spa was down, but the pool was open.

I usually book hotels based on beds that I already know are comfortable. I booked this one for the price, bed unknown. The bed is excellent and the pillows are perfect. It’s not a place that puts a lot of money into accessories, but if you need a good night’s sleep and breakfast in the morning, they’ve got your back.

The room was very nice.. cleaness.. helpful people working there

Everything was great about the Econo Lodge. It was near where we had to do business in Des Moines. Excellent staff, clean room. Also, had a nice, simple grab and go breakfast, where most places have stopped having breakfast completely with the pandemic. I would definately stay here again.

Breakfast was very good! Bummed the hot tub was out of order but all around great experience! Thank you!

Very rude people at the front desk pool and spa still wasn't working

Pool needs repair. Only one ice machine down on first floor. I know the "breakfast" was free but thats what it was worth. Room service never cleaned our room.

Convenient location. Clean and decent especially for the price. Terrible breakfast, if they even had any food left or available.

Beds were not the best. Sheets were very worn. Rooms were clean. Staff were very nice. Breakfast left a lot to be desired.

It is not the nicest hotel, but it wasn't bad. The staff was nice. The price was right so I stayed here.

Dirty! Hotel room smelled so bad of smoke all of our clothes smelled of it when we returned home. Garbage literally stuck to the door like a sticker, empty tobacco chew container on our floor, so definitely not vacuumed. Room clock not set and the room had the air conditioning on instead of the heat and it was 25 degree outside. The pool was also padlocked and closed when it was supposed to be open with no explanation. Not staying here again!

There was no TV remote in the room, and I called the front desk asking for one. She said she didn't have one, didn't have any extra room that we can change. My husband asked for a manager and was told the Manager, Missy wasn't available. He asked to have the manager call him, and she just hung up on him. I went downstair to the front desk and told her that it was rude to just hang up the phone. She had some excuses. The parking lot was almost empty and it was hard to believe that there were no other available rooms. It was just a broken TV issue, but the person at the front desk handling the issue wasn't right. We were unhappy about the incident.

Basic hotel. Great location right across the street from the state fairgrounds. Not a luxury hotel, but a good place to spend the night.

They have made some updates such as new carpet and paint to spruce the place up. The double rooms have full size beds instead of queen and unfortunately rock hard. Breakfast was nice

Excelent people front desk help everymoment good pool and hot tub

Not close to downtown or walkable restaurants. Very friendly staff. Hotel is looking worn.

Dear Guest. We apologize that your stay did not meet expectations. We do have a mechanical problem with the pool system and had no choice but to close.
