I like the safety of area. Vary clean place to stay

The area was right next to a outdoor shopping center which was nice. Unfortunately, my stay was not nice due to the fact that I had cold water for 1 day and half. Also, the staff charged me for my service animal even though they stated that service animals are exempt from fees. They only waived my service animal after I complained about the cold water. Secondly, the hotel was not appealing instead of painting they used wallpaper and the corners of the restroom looked kind of dirty. It just not what I would expect from a Sonesta property.

Check in was easy and pleasant with a very helpful woman at the front desk. I found the bar staff kind and friendly as well. My room's air conditioning did not work and was initially told to let it run to cool the room down. I called back at 11:45 after leaving it running for hours and getting back from dinner, and was then offered to change rooms. It was way too late so I declined. I was denied a late checkout despite confirming it pre-booking and being assured I would be granted at least a couple of hours at check in. Frustrated but it appeared the hotel was only half operational with upgrades happening. Still the hotel was clearly no where near full on Tuesday. The ice machine did not work on every floor, which maybe was just extra irritating because my room was so hot! As that happens at lots of hotels, sort of like the McDonald's ice cream machine it seems!!

Well my experience started off a little odd... When I checked in I was given a room that someone else was occupying. That was corrected and the room I was given seemed clean. There isn't central AC, rather the old style wall-mounted units that struggle to keep up. I was on the top floor and unfortunately my room never got below 74F. I personally find that a bit hot for sleeping. I decided to check out early and find other accommodations.

If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. My stay was beyond disappointing from the get good. I paid for a deluxe king room and when I check in they tell me I’m in a queen. When I asked why if I had specifically requested a king, the front desk lady told me “oh well we can’t guarantee a king. Plus, there’s no difference between a queen and a king. Most people can’t even tell, so you’ll be fine. And I’m sure you didn’t request a king” I found this to be beyond rude. If I paid for something and I get something different, I get to be upset, not have the front desk lady tell me I’ll “be fine”. When my husband came in with the luggage nobody offered to help us bring our luggage upstairs. They pointed to a cart and said we could use it if we needed the help. Once we got to our room, it just got worse. The TV remote was broken, a shelf in the shower was coming off the wall, the shower glass door’s handle was loose and the shower door wasn’t even in the rail! It felt like the door was going to fall on us any minute. Once we got in bed, I realize there’s only the sheets and a hospital-looking blanket over it. Sonesta’s website clearly mentions “plush duvets and luxurious linens”... which was an outright lie. When I called the front desk to ask about the duvet, they said I only get a blanket, and that if I need more housekeeping could bring it up. They took almost an hour to bring us the extra blankets, and only after I called again to check on this. We couldn’t even sleep that nigh

Stayed for 3 nights. The toilet was broken upon check in and had to be moved to a new room. The second day there was no hot water.

i always come here great property small but nice improvements under new ownership.
