never again

Parking lot was small; I felt lucky that I had a space. There was pot smoking outside of the rooms and the odor was evident when in my room. The staff was very nice. The area is a bit sketchy but I felt safe.

BEWARE... I know this is downtown Denver, but there are homeless people & people of "questionable substance levels" EVERYWHERE. They come from all over, but seem to hang around the motel area mostly. I saw a few walking through the halls, & I caught one of them trying to look through the curtains in my window. The only way to enter the hotel is through the front desk, so they are apparently not screening people, & I was never asked to present my card or proof of stay any time I entered (unless they recognized me). There was a car in the parking lot that had all flat tires & covered in dirt, & looked like someone was living in it, that was just there in a middle parking spot during my entire stay. The WiFi is TERRIBLE. When I called they said to choose "whichever one works best". There's no password, so it's just open to anyone, which is very unsafe. I booked a "City View" room, but was given a room on the opposite side from the city, with a view of 7-Eleven. I was quite busy on my trip and in the mountains all day, so didn't have the time or planning to move around, but when I called after, they said there was nothing they could do, because I didn't specifically mention it at checkout. All I asked for was one night's refund, which was probably about $45. So that's a testament to their customer service. I know it's a budget motel, but was overall still disappointing, because the issues I saw were general issues, & not specific to me, & also seemed easily resolvable.

I was advised when I checked in that there was a $100 security deposit required. I indicated my acceptance of the deposit. I paid for the first night and the deposit with my debit card. I stay an additional 8 or more nights. When I checked out I asked for my deposit. The clerk told me he did not charge my debit card for the $100 deposit even though my bank statement clearly indicated such a charge. I politely told him money was deducted from my account. He was adamant about not refunding me. In total disgust, I left the front desk. That evening I went to my debit card website to find out how to challenge the charge on my card. I saw that there was a pending $100 refund. So the jerk at the front desk was totally wrong. I did indeed pay for the deposit. He argued that I did not pay him. But I did. Be careful with these people. If you pay that deposit then demand a receipt for your payment. I will never stay at this place again.

Bad area full of homeless and drug addicts. Weekly staying occupants...

Never made the reservation and still got charhed. F-

The shower head was broken, no one did anything about it. There was no manager on site our entire stay.

Half of this hotel faces a night club that is open until 2am. The rooms are not sound proof at all, and the bass was shaking my room late into the night. There was also drunk people screaming outside all night long. I feel bad because this is no fault of the hotel, which was decent, however I was unable to get good sleep which was very disappointing. I'm sure it would have been a better stay if I was on the other side of the hotel.

Price was reasonable for the level of accommodation. Dislikes - the area is a little sketchy at night a couple blocks away - i.e. several street people hanging in doorways asking for money or some people talking to themselves with obvious mental difficulties.

Convenient to bars, but too convenient. Next to a very loud nightclub.

Super friendly staff very inviting. Downfall was a very loud bar right next to my room and boogers on the remote control for the TV

Much cleaner than expected. Great staff......... .

The hotel was older and amaller than expected but it was in decent condition and the staff was extremely helpful and courteous. We stayed on a night there was a concert across the street, so traffic and noise was horrendous. I think the room was comfortable though and the options for food close by were great.

We checked in for a few days before a funeral needing to wash clothes and have a few days of quiet. We chose this hotel because it was close to the Denver Zoo but thinking it would be comparable to the Days Inn in Cheyenne. There were no washers/dryers, no fitness room, no pool, no TV channel guide. The "s... t" hit the fan when Charlie's next door had a very loud outdoor event on Friday night July 26. I was awake until almost 2:00am hearing voices and a drum beat. We moved to another hotel.
