This “resort” charges you as if they are providing resort service/amenities. Room dirty hair in tub and all over bathroom floor. Hair in bed after we pulled back sheets, fridge sticky, iron didn’t work, under half of a roll of tissue when we checked in, NO SAFE PARKING……tuh.

Hotel is very nice with an upper class feel and look in common areas however this did not carry over to my room. room was neat clean but didn't have high end feel coffee maker was on top of micro which was on top of mini frig with only 2 outlets behind frig had to unplug 1 to use other and room was kinda odd setup (rm 410) but still a very nice hotel only other complaint is very high cost of parking I am already paying $22 resort fee's then you want another $13-$22 per day parking. love the hotel but will be taking the extra cost into consideration when booking my next trip we did really enjoy our stay and even extended it an extra day hotel staff was excellent hotel food originally seemed a little expensive but after ordering it was worth it

We mostly enjoyed our stay! Loved that the room keys were digitized bracelets, way most convenient than I thought. On-site parking was nice, however wasn’t sure it was very secure. Restaurant was lacking in options. Pool was warm and amazing, but we were bummed the pool bar was only open until 5. House keeping was non existent due to covid, had to call down for towels and toilet paper and calling multiple times with no answer, took almost 24 hours until I had to track someone down to bring them. This was a decent place to stay for the price but I highly recommend getting a room with a pool/beach view. Our room was at the front of the hotel and the windows weren’t on their tracks and the street out front is NOISY 24 hours a day. Family friendly hotel except the constant pot smell rolling in the room hallways.

The property was very secure and safe. The extras pool side were a nice touch.

Good beach access. Spa was by appointment only which was tough. House keeping wouldn’t clean the room due to COVID-19.

I didn’t like paying for parking and the room was dirty. I paid for a ocean view but was put in a room with a construction site. At 630 am you could hear all the construction trucks and workers.

This property has declined over the years. It's convenient right now to use COVID as an excuse.....but after 7yrs we'll likely be choosing other accommodations for our annual visit. If we're going to get nickel and dimed for every little thing and be let down with expectations we may as well go somewhere else. I'm sure they'll appreciate it more. The property has just been sold, good luck to the new owner, at least he was nice.

We visit often. It is clean, the staff is friendly, and if there is ever an issue they are quick to rectify the situation. This last trip was for our anniversary and the 1888 manager acknowledged a situation and addressed it. We will definitely be back!

I didnt realize how loud it would be staying so close to the boardwalk. 1am my 9 year old and I were still awake because it was so loud. The hallway on floor 11 smelled like weed. My daughter wanted to make tea, so we ran water through the coffee pot and the coffee pot smelled like weed - like someone put their stash in there. Needless to say she never got her tea. After trying to lock the door to our balcony door, it wouldn't lock. I called down to the front desk and they said that person left for the day and they would put in an order. We were on the 11th floor but it was an uncomfortable feeling - knowing how easy ot would be to get from balcony to balcony. The room was okay; the bed wasn't very comfortable. When I checked in, the staff didn't go over any basics... where to find the elevator, how to get to the pool, times for amenities. So my daughter and I had to figure it out ourselves. Besides those issues, the staff was always friendly. Brett at the outside bar is awesome!
