Historic property beautifully restored. Friendly staff and convenient to restuarants and University campus.

Hotel not completely updated, bugs in sons bed. Bar and restaurant not opened as advertised. Was told the bug was lent(it was moving). Hotel owner is extremely rude and anything but accommodating. Dog and dog toys laying in front lobby. Hotel owner sits outside front door and smokes. Rooms not cleaned by staff. We were there for three days and had to ask for more towels. Never again!!!

Great location. Excellent staff. Great food and bar.

It was convenient to Miss State Univ and the breakfast was satisfactory

Excellent staff, location, older feel, and excellent full breakfast. Will stay here from now on

The hotel is good and the staff is friendly. However, they could do with some new blanket covers and pillow cases. Present ones are antiques.

Quaint, small boutique hotel, very clean, small room but comfortable, very nice front desk staff, breakfast staff (one person) somewhat rude. Reasonably priced, made to order breakfast included, good location. Would stay again.

My experience at Hotel Chester was good. Room was clean, staff was very helpful and professional. I enjoyed time in the beer garden. I would recommend this hotel to a friend. My only dislike was the size of the beds. The info on the website said that there would be 3 double beds, however if the beds that were in my room were double they were EXTREMElY SMALL double, more like single beds. I would stay at Hotel Chester again, but only with my wife because the hotel had more of a feel of a boutique hotel than just a standard hotel.

Really enjoyed our stay. Had business on MSU campus and it is actually within walking distance (1.4 miles) Historic hotel in the heart of downtown and right next to the awesome Starkville Cafe (if you like authentic southern home cooking) I especially enjoyed the made to order breakfast that is included. Great way to start the day!

Surprised you failed to mention that the Assistant Manger disassembled both beds in your son's room with his mother in tow in search of an insect problem only to find none. Or the possibility that it could have arrived with your son's soccer belongings. It was on that basis of no evidence of the reported bug in the bed complaint that I declined your request for a discount. My desk clerk was told to expect a bad review after relaying that no discount would be forthcoming. Rarely do I assign a 'do not rent' flag on a staying guest. Unfortunately, it grew by one with your departure.

Thank you for the input on blanket covers & pillow cases. Removing bed linens from circulation and retiring them is a constant process. Your comment has help us to re-visit how this is done by both the cleaning and laundry staff, and make some adjutments in the stand by which linens are retired & donated.
