Flew into Colorado Springs and only stayed one night before driving to NM. This hotel was perfect for that night and the breakfast in the morning was a great way to start the day!

I usually never write reviews but this stay was so terrible that I am unable to stay quite. I always use this site to book my reservation and I have not had any issues until now. I booked 2 NON-SMOKING rooms with 2 Queen size beds. Upon arrival to the Hotel (if you can call it that) the desk clerk informed that I had reserved 2 SMOKING rooms. I informed him that I had not and asked to switch. He was unable to accomidate that request. He was nice and apologetic. My family and I had just returned to Colorado Springs from a week vacation in Orlando, Fl. We were so tired that we decided as a family to go ahead and stay instead of trying to find another room somewhere else. The elevator and hallways were dingy, you could actually see the dirt. Upon entering my room there was a dirty clean rag on the floor. The door handle to the bathroom would not lock and had to push really hard to even close the door. The next morning My sister-in-law (whom is a GM at a hotel in my home town) tried to talk with the Manager and was informed that Manager was not available to speek with. The desk clerk then informed me up the reservation were for smoking room. I was able to pull up my confirmation and showed her that I booked 2 Non-smoking rooms. The Desk clerk became very defensive at this point and sarcastic with her remarks. She would not listen to anything that I had to say eventually became argumentative with me (so much for customer service). I stepped away. My sister-in-law finished talking to her and found out several things. First this person was the one that had input the booking information and "there is no way that (she) made the mistake." The people that owns this particular hotel also owns several other Hotels close by. The normal policy is to see if any of the other hotels can accomidate misbookings, but this was never an option presented to us. I would never recommed this place to anyone and I really question Hampton's 100% guarantee.

Everything was great except my bathroom sink was clogged and took overnight to drain. I told the front desk the day after and I am sure they will try and fix it.

I have stayed at many Hampton Inns all across the country and this Hampton about 2 years ago. The first room I was given (3rd) floor smelled really bad...not from cigarette smoke, probably the carpet. The TV cable didn't work. The bedside electrical outlet and bathroom outlets didn't work. I was given the key to a room on the second floor. I packed all my things took them to the next room only to find the key didn't work and the door handle was loose and wobbly. I went back to the front desk asked for another key, went back to the room, that key didn't work...went back and got a third key that finally worked. The staff person was young and had a bad attitude the whole time. In the second room, the electrical outlets on the desk lamp didn't work, and the bathroom outlet didn't work. The breakfast sausage, folded egg and cheese, waffles really tasted like something I would feed my dog. I was at this hotel about 2 years ago, very good, no issues. This hotel has really gone downhill....needs lots of maintenance care and attention. Needs caring, mature staff. I would definitely NOT recommend this hotel!!

The room and service were better than average. we just stayed one night and the room was comfortable and clean.

As always a great hotel to stay in when traveling. The staff is friendly and respectful. The breakfast is basic and well done. The room is quiet and has the basics with free wifi. The location is great if you want to be close to the airport but access is good even if want to see the other sights in Colorado springs.

The front desk agent was very professional and check was handled quickly and with " a smile" that is usually lacking by most customer service orientated places. The same friendly helpful demeanor showed among other staff during the breakfast times and throughout the day. The hotel and our room were very clean. Get this ... any guest will like this, the beds were extremely comfortable; exactly what we expected after long days activities. Overall an enjoyable stay! I will recommend to friends and family

Everything was just as you would expect. Clean, helpful and a reasonable breakfast. Oh wait, GREAT BEDS! Also, athough its close to <2 miles from the airport...never heard a single plane!

We had a late check-in request. We got there 10 minutes before the close / on-site / delivery restaurant was to close. The desk attendant asked if we would like for her to call to ask them to stay open a bit later since we were starved. We declined, but asked for directions to a close fast food place. She was very sweet, and gave great directions. Great place!

For my extended stay visiting family, the amenities were perfect: iron, ironing board, microwave, refrigerator, pay-for-view entertainment, comfortable beds!

Family visit

This was my first time at a Hampton Inn and it was luxury with the wonderful feather pillows and comforter. Only one suggestion for your hotel. My mother is 92 years old and with bad knees, she had trouble getting in bed, in fact she fell out trying to get in. She did not get hurt but was unsure about getting up during the night. I suggest that a step stool be available for those who are infirmed. Even I had to climb to get in the bed. Other than that it was a wonderful stay.

horrible stay!!!!!!!

not a true hampton inn
