Friendly staff. Convenient location. However, I stayed there four different weeks in a row but the last two times I was there it was noisy enough to keep me awake at night. One of the times I was even forced to change rooms at 1:00 in the morning because the desk clerk couldn’t control the people being noisy. He said “I already asked them once to quiet down but people like that don’t listen.” I feel like he should have told them to either quiet down or leave but instead he makes a frequent guest change rooms at 1:00 in the morning and I have to get up at 5:00 for work. Apparently the people being noisy were only there for one night. I am working in the area there and have been staying in hotels until I find a house. I stayed elsewhere this week and I will not be staying at Super 8 again because they cannot control the guests who disturb other guests.

The front desk clerk needed to take a course in HOSPITALITY Management. She was very condescending, when we didn’t know right away what our license plate # was and my cousin had to go out to write it down. Desk clerk informed me (in a snappish tone) that it is a state law! She went on to say “well most people have that info on their smart phone or on their keys! We are 70 year olds. The room had bugs, very sticky carpet, torn sheets, no hot water in the sink and the breakfast bar attendant was MIA! Nothing was replenished. Tables were sticky with long blonde hairs hanging off the edge.

The hotel itself is good for the price. The lower rating is due to the fact that the first room that I was assigned to had not been cleaned from the previous guest.

Nice rooms, quiet, Rooms Cleaned everyday. Small hotel but every morgning there were breakfast, where you can have some coffee, toast and waffles

We have selected this hotel because the reviews were very good (3.8 out of 5, and 78% recommend to others), however our experience says differently. The hotel is smelly, there is smell from carpet, from bedsheets, bathrooms. Since the first room they gave us had a very bad smell from the bathroom, they changed us to a different room but in this room had odor from the bed-sheets. Don't fall victim based on good rating.

I thought the AC was too loud for sleeping. But it was efficient.

We stayed overnight here during a road trip. Check-in staff was friendly and we got right into our room. No trouble with having a dog with us and we even got a room near the side door so we could take her out if needed. The breakfast was plenty for a quick hotel breakfast. The hotel could probably use some updates, but it was perfectly clean and quiet and provided a nice overnight stay.

I don't have any complaints. Couldn't beat the price.

We stayed here for the weekend of November 14-16th. We were in town for the Blackhawks / Blues and Bears / Rams games. The location is right off the expressway to both St. Louis and Chicago. Great restaurants surround the hotel including my favorite Lotawata Creek ( try the Hillbilly Royale ). The rooms we had were clean and everything was in working order. The staff was fantastic. They were friendly, polite and helpful in every way. All that and at a very good price. We will definitely be back!

In this case the hotel met my requirements a somewhat inexpensive place to stay while attending a family member's funeral. We chose not to eat at the continental breakfast bar, the burnt smell of coffee and other food smells were overpowering and lead us to seek dining elsewhere. Luckily for us the area supports a large amount of restaurants and we took advantage of these eating places. In retrospect you get what you pay for: something quick and cheap for a last minute stay.

Had a great time and hotel was great. Good spot just outside St. louis. Very clean, great staff.TOP NOTCH

The hotel was nice and breakfast was good. The only issue we had was the heater seemed to only work on full blast or not at all.

Acceptable, attractive, clean room. Kind of dark. Staff was courteous.
