The front desk had me signing receipts with MY name and other people's credit card numbers attached. I asked for copies of receipts and was denied. Had a very loud and outrageous verbal confrontation.. which almost became physical. It was the worst experience I've had dealing with hotels.

The room I was given reeked of cigarette smoke, although it’s listed as a non smoking room. When I asked at the office, I was told “we ask them not to smoke but they do anyway, nothing we can do” but we are full ( due to Maryland graduation) and so we cannot help you. The rooms themselves are dated, from the 70’s perhaps. The bed not very comfortable with a thin mattress. The front door closed (and locked) but a gap remained to the outside. Yes no indoor hallways, it’s an old motel style with all doors facing the outside. No real amenities. If I was not in need of a room, exhausted from transit, and found myself in graduation where every room was taken in the area ( I was only visiting, no child at the University of Maryland) I’d have just forgone my money and found another room.

Rude check in lady. Room had a strange odor. Bathroom dirty. Never will I stay at a Howard Johnson again.

The hotel seems dilapidated. It requires greater investment to bring it up to par. I would rank it as one star.

Smelly rooms. Non-smoking now, but smells like they are dumping a bunch of stuff on it to cover up old smoke. Decent cleanliness except sticky carpets. Spacious room. Tiny bathroom. Ok water pressure. Good AC. Firm bed. Poor phone support. Tried calling multiple times without an answer. After a couple of days of trying, someone finally answered. Staff told me there were no safes in the rooms, but when I arrived, there was a safe. In-person the staff were polite and helpful. So-so neighborhood and security, but decent access to stores, campus, and highway. Key card to room had stopped working each evening, but staff was quick to reset it each time.

Had a great time visiting Washington sites. The weather was great the first few days some were able to walk the mall and see those sites. The last 3 days cool and wet so we were inside.

i really liked the place . what i didnt like was the bath room were too small. the rooms were very clean and smell good

Its was a peaceful and quiet stay I really enjoy my stay

The hotel had a terrible smell of mold. It gave me a headache.

Best bang for your buck. Needed cheap hotel for a few nights while looking for an apartment. Free breakfast, tv, shower, bed was all I needed.

checked in at 7ish out at 12:50am. sign outside hotel says they let us park our car for convience and are not responsible for breakins. hotel backs up to the projects. upon coming back from grocery store we noticed the door locking system was not secure. the screws were not screwed into anything. when we spoke with office person she said she could not get anyone to look at it till morning !!! and that she HOPED everything goes ok that night. seriously !! even their securuity man said is wasn't right, WE HAVE REALLY GREAT PICTURES OF THE LOCK! now they are charging my credit card for ANOTHER NIGHT.. even though they were paid through in full. trust me .... I expect a refund. and the extra charge best be removed. oh and when we asked SUE the office person about vandalism she informed us that yes they have had a lot but NO SHOOTINGS yet !!

Clean, affordable, nothing special, just needed a place to sleep for a few nights while in the area. Continental breakfast was lacking though, but again just a simple hotel.

The hotel was great, free continental breakfast, fast wifi! All the necessary amenities! Overall great!!

I understand that the HoJo was listed as a 2 star hotel but come on. From check in to check out I felt as if I were staying in an ancient motel on some deserted highway that rarely sees any business. For a hotel in College Park to have no pride in their presentation and service completely baffles me. Check in had a minor hang up but after the receptionist realized I already had a reservation, like I told her, things were cleared up. The 2 rooms I checked in to were essentially the same. One had a microfridge and one didn't. They both wreaked of nasty living, including cigarette smoke despite being a non-smoking room. The lights in the bathroom did not work at night in either room and I had to take a shower by the light of my cell phone flashlight!! The morning continental breakfast was pretty thin. Terrible coffee and bagels. A couple danishes were there but I was afraid to eat them! Check out was the standard uninterested "how was your stay" "thank you" "goodbye" I will definitely chose another hotel the next time I travel to CP.

Hotel was clean. They found a crib for my son. Breadfast wasn't fancy, but was adequate to keep us from getting hungry.

My hometown HoJo is much nicer than this one. We had a corner room which was nice for lack of neighbor noise but the traffic noise was awful. The front desk staff was less than pleasant but housekeeping was friendly/helpful however understood very little English. The bed was comfortable enough and the cable selection was adequate. The bathroom was tiny but had the curved shower curtain rod so no annoying curtain cling! The iron and ironing board were lacking but at least there was one. Wish there was a fridge and in-room microwave as we stayed for a week. Parking was plentiful but the driveway was confusing and a challenge to navigate. Close to major roadways making city travel pretty easy. Close to gas and grocery store but limited restaurants.

Its worth for money so i would refer it to my friends

On prepaid reservations we do not provide you with any receipts. It should have been provided by Expedia thru your e-mail. We have no access to your credit card information. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
