The place I booked was a family run bed and breakfast place as opposed to a hotel. When I arrived there, the place was locked up; no one answered the door or answered the phone number posted outside the hotel on its sign, and it took a couple of hours to get things straightened out. It turns out that the property owner was detained, but this person should have had a backup, and Orbitz should have a separate set of instructions for people who stay at places such as these-- customers need to make phone contact with proprietors and confirm time of arrival, since these places are not run like hotels, which are staffed pretty much 24/7.

The guest house had a homey easy atmosphere with very friendly people.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Location was very convenient to nearby restaurants and eateries. Room was clean and well maintained. Bed was very comfy. Would definitely stay again. My husband and I had a great time

The staff did not know I had booked a room or what room they should assign to me. They had to contact someone off premises to see if I was registered they took a picture of my confirmation with a phone and sent it off to someone. The lamp next to the bed did not work and when the staff was told it was not fixed for the four days I was there. The toilet holder fell off the wall and there were no grab bars in the bathroom shower. Too much room spray was used throughout the building to the point where anyone with a breathing problem would have issues. Even when I asked to decrease the amount of spray it was still overpowering. The last morning that I was there no breakfast was provided and there was no one at the desk, or even on the first floor, so I could check out. The staff was nice but had very little or no training. There was a $10.00 charge per day if you wanted your room cleaned. I can't be 100% sure but I think someone came into my room and shut off the air conditioner; nothing was missing or out of place. The room was clean when I checked in. Cabs are scarce with no access or information at the desk.

Everything was good. Staff is very friendly. Safety parking and quiet area.

Don't expect an all-frills sort of bed and breakfast experience. But for the price and for the location, it is quite fine. An excellent breakfast. Clean. Quiet. Accommodating hosts. It is close enough to Takoma Park restaurants to walk; also a walk to the Takoma Park metro. Shared bath. No tissues to share however. Bring your own kleenex! ;-)

We are sorry for all the inconvenience this might have caused, but we run into an unforeseen situation. there is usually somebody here 24/7.

Our guest made the reservation late Saturday night to checkin Sunday at 4 PM. due to unforseen circonstance the genaral manager could not communicate this booking to the wekend manager, We apologize to our guest for having to wait for verification, Once she complainabout the spray it was stopped immediatly. It seems also that one day breakfast was served but she didnot come to the table. We are under the impressions that she was not given the house rules, because the things she is mentionning are couvered in our policy. Overall, we think she is good guest that is why we are extending our invitation to her to give us a chance to serve her better,
