We arrived 11 pm after 12 hours work shift and were told that we do not have a room. Staff at hotel blamed this on Orbitz but I was not entirely sure if this was Orbitz fault or they simply sold the room we reserved and paid for. Hotel was sold out that might and it was Monday night. Single staff on site was very overworked and unable to address issues multiple guests were having. Orbitz staff had to call her 4 times just to get her to pick up the phone. It took 30 min. When we came back next day it took me 1 hour just to check in into my room. There were 6 people before me and check in process was very slow. Carpet in the corridor was dirty. There was no room service. There was no toaster on site.

The room was clean but it had a slight musty smell. I always travel with a small bottle of Frebreeze so it wasn't a big deal. However, the hallways were gross. The 2nd floor hallway carpet was filthy and when you rounded the corner to head towards our room, it reeked of vomit. That corner near the turn had a utility room so maybe that's where the smell was coming from,. Or maybe someone actually vomited. But the smell was there the whole time, Friday through Sunday. Other than that, the staff was friendly. And helpful. We had no issues at all. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean.

The hotel is close to highway and easy to get in and out and get around to Chicago. There are dining and shopping options within a short drive. Easy parking access and the room is a good size. The pet friendly thing is always what bothers me because of bed bugs that may happen because of it since some people do not clean their pets appropriately and let them in the beds. But fortunately, we did not encounter that problem this time. I will probably stay there again

Nice location, very clean room and excellent housekeeping

the property is so old and needs updated. The smell was of mildew and disgusting!

The location was great for me, along I-55. Love the Kerry Piper next door, which is a nice old Irish pub. My room had just had carpet cleaned, leaving the carpet damp for my first night and morning there. Unable to switch rooms, I just had to tough it out.

It was okay. Nothing fancy, but does feel comfy. It’s a spot you stay at just to catch up on some sleep or to just lay your head before you get back on the road.

The hotel was clean in the the lobby as well as the hallways. The front desk reps were kind. The hotel room had a few items left over from someone else (a roll of tissue and a ball under the bed), but everything else was fine. It was a good experience for the price of the hotel.

Nice staff. The room features are consistent with the moderate price.

Staff is friendly check out time in noon witch is perfect other hotels are 11am. It’s nice clean and really quiet.

Hotel is clean & employees very personable. The staff was always willing to assist with any questions.

Close to Our event in Chicago. We had to bring our dog. Very Accomodating

We were in town for a birthday celebration. It's 30 minutes to downtown Chicago without traffic. The staff here are always super nice! Great job guys! If you want just an easy, comfortable, inexpensive place to stay, you got it here.

I really wanted to like this place. I generally enjoy staying at LaQ's. The staff helped with a complicated room issue that was due to my mistake. So I appreciate their (eventual) flexibility. The location is convenient for me and the price was right. Breakfast was the typical "meh", but the coffee was above average. The bed, furnishings, TV, climate control were fine. Shower was curious but fine. Towels were ok. Housekeeping never changed the empty kleenex box during the stay, but that wasn't a big deal. If I stopped here, I'd go back for a future stay. The deal-breaker in this place is the carpet. Motel/hotel carpets are conceptually gross just about anywhere. But most places have a good enough carpet that makes you forget about. This hotel's carpet felt tacky -- slightly sticky -- in shoes, socks, and bare feet (once). And it _looks_ freshly stained too. I never analyzed how much of the disturbing sensation and optics were due to the fiber of the carpet and how much was due to fresh or old staining. But every step in the room reminded us of the terrible carpet. I know it wasn't just my room because I rented two rooms and they were identical. I hope they fix the carpet so I can stay there again. But until then, I don't recommend the place.

Confrontational greeting during check-in which set the wrong tone early. Musty smell to facility, basic breakfast. Get's the job done but nothing to write home about.

A great last minute reservation. 30 minutes to downtown Chicago. Lots of places to eat around and a mall is just a mile away. Rooms are clean. Wish they have two queen beds and the pillows are too soft for my comfort. The best of all we can bring our dog.

Everything was fine, no issues. Just stayed there a couple time and never had any issues.

Location was convenient, off highway. Check in very easy and they were very friendly and helpful

Dear Lee- Thank you for rating and reviewing the hotel. I'm so sorry that there were items left from a previous guest. That is not acceptable and I will speak with my housekeeping staff to make sure it never happens again. Thank you bringing it to our attention. We hope to see you again in the future.
