The room smelled bad. Needed vacuuming. Outside window view was the swimming pool Covered with a dirty plastic cover sunk in the middle with standing dirty water on top of it. It was disgusting to look at through the window and everytime you walked out the door. Put the sign out for room service, left all day, and no one came to service the room. Good thing i had travelled with my own towels and wash cloth. No refrigerator, no microwave, non working cheap plastic coffee pot. Spider in the bathroom ceiling. Disgusting! Worst Hotel i've ever stayed at in my life. But i was in Chicago for my brother's funeral and was too depressed to change hotel which was more like a cheap motel. Very disappointed! I would like a refund, please.

Guest services on Friday night was excellent! Saturday guest service was good. Facilty was old and gross. Rooms smelt like marijuana. Not a nice location. Free parking was ok.

The price and location was good. The room was decent. The air conditioner did. It work well and the pool was kind of dirty.

I enjoyed the cafe on the property. It was a lot nicer than expected. The bed was pretty comfortable. I also appreciated the fridge. I had the impression the room wouldnt have one, so it was a nice suprise. My biggest issue was the air unit; it would randomly start making an awful sound. The sound would last about 20 minutes then stop for an hour or so. Also, a microwave would have been nice to have. I was unable to keep my left over food from the cafe because I had no way of warming it up the next day.

Convenient location to the university. Old facility but is okay for a day-trip.

Great hotel, clean & spacious (which you really can’t say about any hotel in Chicago). You can catch the #2 bus or the Metra into the city. Staff were nice, parking is free and available. Loved my stay here.

This was a great place to stay. It’s close to downtown at a reasonable price was clean and beds where comfy

Clean, warm, secure room. Friendly, helpful staff. Two-block walk to the bus stop. Inexpensive. Convenient. Next time I go to Chicago, I'll stay at this hotal again.

Not a great hotel and price wasn't that inexpensive.

There are not many hotels on the South side of Chicago that are safe. This was across from the Lake and the area felt fine. The rooms are definitely dated, but mine was clean and the staff was friendly. There is a brand new La Quinta next door that includes breakfast and other amenities. It was also about twice the price. If I were with my family, I would have done that one, but was traveling alone. There is not really anything walking distance, but it is a cheap Uber ride to anything on the South side and easy to take the train downtown. Also, they have a free shuttle that takes you to the museum and the university, but it only runs a few times a day.

Room and entire hotel in very bad shape. Smells humid. Ugly carpet torn and stained. A/C very noisy and work improperly. Light fixture over vanity, not working. Shampoo bottle filled halfway

Nice hotel foot the price. Rooms were a little out dated but they were clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free shuttle into the city was GREAT!

smoke and disgusting smell in the room, poor facilities, not worth the money at all

heat did not work in my room, and was reassigned to ant=other room where tv did not work.

Thanks for your comments. During your stay dates, we were still doing limited service housekeeping due to Covid. Sorry about that. This hotel does not offer microwave and mini-fridges so not sure why you expected it.
