The woman at the desk when I checked in was a very sour person. We had booked a non smoking room, and she gave us a smoking room. When I went to change the room, she first claimed that it was a non smoking room. Then she told me they would spray the room to eliminate the odor, which of course does not work. Then she complained about the fact that she would have to change somebody else's room in order to give us what we wanted. The breakfast was terrible. It was scrambled eggs made from powder, and the apple my wife chose was rotten upon cutting open. The room was very close to the highway, and was loud the entire night. The internet was spotty at best. I had to repeatedly connect to it, and when it did connect, it stated that I was connected without internet. I rely on internet to do my job, and was unable to work there at all. In short, I would rename this hotel the "LACK of Quality" Inn. I will not stay there, and will think twice about booking another stay at another Quality Inn, anywhere.

I reserved this room three days ago. A friend and I drove 3 hours from home, to go to a rock show. We got to the Quality Inn after a fun night and we were exhausted. I went to check in and pay for the room. The receptionist told me that my card had been ran and declined. What? No it hasn’t. No charges on my card. Plenty of money in my account. She said the room was canceled and rented out to someone else. Her exact words, “You can’t show up at 1 am to try to check in. Your card was declined. The room is gone. I’m so sorry.” She was not sorry. She was very rude. It was 1 am and we had no room and 96% of the hotels in the area were completely booked. One of our closest/affordable options was Red Roof Inn, It was gross. It was dirty. It was scary. I am very upset and will not be using Orbitz to book anything ever again! I did NOT receive an email notifying me that my reservation was cancelled. No email saying my card was declined. Very unhappy with this experience.

It wasn’t bad for the price. Breakfast was ok and room was small but otherwise it was ok. Great deal honestly, and not a long drive to the beaches.

Breakfast was great! room was clean needed a fresh paint job. but overall an enjoyable stay. Great location very convenient.

Had 1 chair in room, no table. Had coffee machine but no pot. 3 star hotel, I don't think so, hotel filled with construction crews, and parking hard with all the large contruction vehicles. Won't stay there again!

My family and I were scared of our stay in this hotel. Hotel looks unclean because of deterioration. Pool close to dumpster. Not enough plastic silverware in breakfast area. They do the room everyday though.

Front desk staff was great. Air conditioning wasn’t working correctly. Room smelled. Smoke detector not operational. Creepy people hanging around outside. One followed me a bit. One ice machine out of order. I stayed here 7 weeks prior and it was the same. Wish I hadn’t prepaid for this night. I’ll never return. I did write the manager after the last visit. Manager never responded.

Booked room to get some sleep for an early morning flight the next day. Arrived 10pm, requested wake up call at 5am. Internet not working in room. Room was stuffy so turned on a/c and went to bed. A/c wasn't working properly so kept on waking up during the night. That turned out to be fortunate, because wake up call never came! Was uncomfortable and woke up at 5:30am on my own. ALMOST MISSED MY FLIGHT. Complained to Quality Inn corporate, haven't heard a word back from them. Skip this place!!!

Even though a lot of the place was under renovation it could have been cleaner. Our room smelled musty but seemed clean other than that. Was OK for a quick overnight stay.

For 80 bucks it's not worth it. Don't be deceived by the pictures. Hallways are dirty, rusty and not maintained well. The room was worse, carpet was black you should have seen our feet. Again not maintaining well. Bathroom is rusty and molded. We would rather have spent more elsewhere.

The room was clean and comfortable and convenient to get to a coliseum concert and places to eat and shop.

The front desk people had to be the slowest I ever encountered. The breakfast was above expections with eggs, sausage, cereal and plenty of coffee. The room HVAC unit was so noisey it was hard to sleep, but the room was clean, comfortable and well maintained.

The rooms smell was horrible, Breakfast personel and food were satisfactory

Good place to stay! Would satay again! Reasonable price

We arrived on a Friday and the parking lot was rather empty compared to the other hotels nearby, which caused us to be concerned about safety. However, by Saturday, the hotel was full and we felt a little better. It is located very close to Tanger Outlets, Walmart, Sam's Club, and several nice restaurants. It was about 15 minutes from downtown Charleston. The two staff members at the front desk were friendly. The room was clean. It appears to be an older hotel, but is maintained pretty well. We were located on the first floor near the front of the hotel, so we heard a lot of foot traffic outside our door. Breakfast is served from 6-9am on weekdays and 6-10am on weekends. They served cheese omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, yogurt, bagels, muffins, cereal, packaged grits, etc. It was okay. It was nice that check-out was at 11am. If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel, this is acceptable. Next time we will probably spend a little more $ and find something closer to downtown.

Hotel was fine, staff nice, little mix up with credit card that caused a double charge, but manager fixed it quickly.

I have two young children traveling with me, I check in and get to the room and it's reeks of the smell of smoke. Staff could not get me into a different room to accommodate. I couldn't get refunded so I had to stay. Very unorganized. The pillows are the size of pillows you would use on your sofa. The hair dryer didn't work. The tub was clogged. Rust was on the shower rod. Lamp was missing a lightbulb. The fan in the bathroom did not work. Location was the only good thing about this place. I would never stay again. My experience from a 1-5 would be a zero. Check out was at 11am, we woke up and were out of the place by 8am. Terrible experience.

Dear Cuz, I am so sorry about your stay at the Quality Inn...you are right … there are construction crews as we are trying to finish a full renovation on these rooms. We are still waiting on furniture (chairs & tables) that were backordered with original order. This entire process has been long and difficult so I hope you will give us another chance once it is complete which should be by the first of February. Again , no excuses and very sorry. Hope you have a great holiday.
