It's not really their fault but the mask requirements make for a miserable time and they are very strict with it. There were one or two staff members that went over board and started getting on you if you even touched it.

I booked one night Forgot to put all 3 Family members Hotel not accommodate to check in Charging extra ~480$ For adds on We end up staying at other hotels

Everything, the staff, facility, beaches, if you need anything the riu will make sure you recieve it

Although covid is still around, i felt very safe and protected there. As the property is very clean and they're constantly clearing and disinfecting the different areas. The staff is very friendly.

I liked the wide selection of the food. I had a few maintenance issues but they were each addressed.

Very nice hotel the biggest issue I have was the air conditioning don't work and I had several friends in different rooms and it was the same situation no AC was extremely hot

The hotel was great. Not impressed with food. Same thing everyday. Limited choices

Everyone in this hotel is super friendly! Reception, Bartenders, Security guards, Restaurant servers, Cleaning staff!!! Amazing experience!!!

Really nice hotel... Staff for the most part was nice and helpful. The room itself was spacious and internet was decent. The balconies are beautiful and the food in the buffets was excellent. Because of Covid there were a few activities closed like the disco for example. One thing that was disappointing was specialty restaurants. On the plus, there wasn't the "first come first serve" style reservations... on the negative, there were long lines that resulted in not being able to get into the restaurant. We were lucky to find an opening after waiting 45 minutes. Also, difficult to find a pool chair but this is normal for this size resort, so get there early. The hotel is really nice and close to all the nightlife which was really helpful. Also, a huge supermarket literally right in front. The excursion folks are right on premise and decently price which is convenient.

Great service , great food and super entertainment

We stayed at Riu Cancun back in 2017 and liked it so much that we stayed again. The people that work there are great. They all try to remember your name and ask how your day is. Many of the waiters/waitresses remembered what drinks we like and had it ready to bring out. The location is great, right by the beach and close to the bus stop if you want to see the city. We had an oceanview junior suite and that was great. A lot of space for a 4-year-old to run around. The activities down by the pool were fun. My family and I participated in a few of them and even won 2 rounds of bingo. I wish more of the restaurants were open more frequently. The buffet was always open but certain restaurants were only open maybe two times a week for dinner. Also, something to keep in mind if you're a light sleeper. They have shows everyday that last until about 10 or 11 pm. Since we had the oceanview room, we were above where they had the shows. I am an extremely light sleeper so I could never fall asleep until the shows were over. It is very loud, and you can hear everything clearly. Those items are small issues though. I would gladly stay here again.

None

Nothing to like, very disorganized, horrible food, horrible drinks, horrible service…

We had fun and we enjoyed our stay, the only downside was the food. Riu’s website says there’s 6 restaurants but when we arrived we were told that 2 were closed for that week which is a bummer, then 2 of the restaurant which is located beside each other is connected to one buffet set up, meaning same food for both restaurants. Steakhouse was ok but we waited for 2 hours to get served.

Everything I was good I will come back 20 thousand times!!! Love it

I liked that you can walk to the market stores and the restaurants and clubs are literally walking distance. I didn’t like when we checked in and the guy was very rude to us, I paid 1700 $ then this guy said we could not have 4 people in the room when it had 2 beds. I had to pay another fee, I traveled across the country and they didn’t care saying we couldn’t stay there. Honestly will not be coming back, it was my bday weekend and they ruined it and I was crying in their lobby and they didn’t give a crap. Also the man by the door checking wristbands was disgusting checking out every female walking in. So gross.
