Easy check in

The hotel itself is on the older side and it shows. The room was decent but it had a musty smell to it. Only there one night so it wasn't too big of a deal breaker. Would not stay in this place longer than 1 night though.

Cleanliness

Everything was great will definately stay again

Nice hotel.

This hotel is clean and quiet. The staff is helpful and professional especially Jennifer at the front desk. Ot is conveniently located near 2 big shopping centers and many various types of restaurants.

Nice looking exterior of building. Interior decor was very dark and dated. No complimentary coffee. Charged $2.50 tx for a grande size of Starbucks coffee.

So this is a unique property to review. It was formerly a Courtyard by Marriott which was purchased by Sonesta. The property is located in a business district within a stone throw from Home Depot, Target and The Liberty Tree Mall. You could walk to any of these locations in about 2 minutes. That being said, the property is very quiet both indoors and out from traffic. The parking lots are very well lit and you get the feeling that you and your car are safe. The lobby is extremely clean and the front desk staff are amazing. They are polite, helpful and beyond accommodating. The common ways are very clean and maintained. The carpeting looks brand new and if it isn't, it is super well maintained. The outdoor pool was closed because our stay was May 7th. The room matches the price point and was very clean. For a couple looking for a nice, safe place to stay while visiting Salem or Boston, it is ideal. I'm not sure if the room size would be ideal for a family of 4 though. It would be a little tight but for the price, it would be a steal if you could make it work. Now to the down side (and this really kills me to say because this is such a wonderful hotel). The walls in my opinion are paper thin. A very loud couple checked in next to us at 1am and we could hear everything.....I mean EVERYTHING! It went on for over an hour and a half. The doors in this hotel almost seem hollow (they aren't) but they are sooo loud when they shut that we were getting woken up all night, both nights.

No toiletries in the room. Also bathroom door was falling apart from the hinges. Not overall satisfied

I stayed here for a week. My room was always clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. I really enjoyed my stay.

Nice place attractive building, clean and comfortable

We stay here every year visiting our granddaughter at college. Like everything about our stay.

This is my 3 times at this hotel. Is close to Gordon College, North Shore mall, Liberty Tree Mall and car rental office. The hall is always clean and beautiful carpet. They accommodated my early check in at 10 am after red eye flight. They have a small cafe in the hotel. 3 floors hotel. Nice comfortable bed and pillows, requested a pillow change, they supplied new pillows.

Very very clean and updated. close to Salem where I was visiting. Just a suggestion most hotels offer free water to guests . ;)

The only thing is, they said the pool is heated but it wasnt especially its an outside pool.

Always clean, friendly, and convenient...I have stayed here on business many times and always a home run!!

$223 a night & not any better than a $70 a night hotel. Broken shower even after they "fixed it" waited so long missed our reservation. Broken iron no garbage bags. 3 towels for 4 people. Had to wait for them to run out for laundry detergent. Not worth the money!

We spent 2 nights here as our daughter had Orientation at a nearby college. This hotel was in a convenient location and had sufficient amenities... we used the outdoor pool/patio, bistro for dinner & breakfast and the complimentary computers/printers. Unlike some hotels, the guest Wi-Fi worked great. Also, the desk & bistro staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We will return.

Dear Guest, Thank you for recognizing Jennifer, she is the GM of the hotel and leads the team very well. The hotel as you have mentioned is only 2 mins walking distance from the Liberty mall and is surrounded by many wonderful dining options.
