There was nothing to like. The facility is extremely dated. Our room had plaster off the ceiling, chipped and damaged doors, a bathroom out of the 1950s, there was no desk or writing area in the room just two chairs and a table that could have qualified for antique status if they weren’t so beat up. The whole place was archaic. No money has been spent to update anything in the place.

Best thing about the place is the heated pool. Eden house is very outdated but still expensive. Probably wouldnt stay here again.

I paid more for an “ocean view” and there was a full pine tree blocking the view.

The tiki bar is awesome, but could have longer hours. Room service is still not available. Coffee availability in the morning was not communicated to guests. The gardens and the views are lovely from most areas of the property, but the price we paid for a parking lot view with no balcony was over the top. Great location from downtown, great walkability. Breakfast was average, nothing to write home about. No microwave or premium Movie or channels great place to stay, but not the best in Bar Harbor by any means. They should be sure to keeps their rates reasonable.

Rooms in Eden House need upgrade to HVAC. Rooms musty and had bad odor.

The pool of the hotel is beautiful and makes up for the many flaws of this otherwise uninviting hotel. We paid $700 for a room facing the parking lot. The staff was not accommodating and did not try to help us find a room meeting our needs. Despite having paid for breakfast the hotel was not able to accommodate our "early" departure at 6-30 with at least a cup of coffee. I would expect way more of a hotel charging $700 a night.

Room was outdated and ceiling were stained with water leakage and you will see as soon as you lay down on bed. Couldn’t use balcony as water was leaking from ceiling outside. Room air conditioning was not great to feel comfortable, too humid or too cold as they are still in old age of high/low cool as supposed to desired temperature level. For the rate they charge I would look for other property next time.

Beautiful location, ocean view, nice heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi, close to downtown

Fantastic property surrounded by gods countrys

It was very convenient location, area is beautiful. However, we were placed above ground level without access to an elevator(no options). Then informed no buffet breakfast(understandable with Covid-but the State was basically unmasked as of 5/24). Then barking dogs left in room across the hall barked for hours, the best method of desk response was texting, the room cleaning a whole other issue. AFter two days there had to ask the staff to clean, the made the bed and threw us 2 towels, after two additional days we texted and requested room cleaned...they responded and cleaned room. Should not have to do that. Not in a 3 or 4 start resort as they claim to be. Lastly, and this is just the icing it is a no smoking property, but we were constantly assailed with cigarette smoke every evening and morning as the guests smoked freely on the balconies.

I liked the bed in the room my partner and i didnt want to get up the next morning. The jacuzzi was also nice after our long motorcycle ride that day.

The rooms were dated. No USB ports for devices in room. But clean and met our needs. Our rooms were in a separate building from the main building where all of the amenities are which hadn’t been clear in booking, but was fine. It was too cold to really use the outdoor pool/hot tub anyway. The views from the main building and property were lovely, and the location was convenient.

Free upgrade to suite at Harborside in dowtown on water.

Room was super dusty smelled bit funky. TV remote, phone and alram were broken. Worst experience. I will never return to this hotel.

The furnishings are old and outdated. The desk in our room had wobbling legs and the desk chair didn't fit under the table
