Nice restaurant and helpful staff! The kids enjoyed the waterpark.

Nice room. Nice facility. Didn't like that restaurant was not open due to low number of guests while we were there. Minor inconvenience.

For starters, we arrived, and everyone had to charge there phones. The youngest found a power strip behind the tv. Simply put. Disgusting. Few bugs, old room key card, copious amounts of dust, and junk. Then my wife wanted to put some food in the fridge and there's black mold in there. I called the front desk, they will let the maids know. Good thing its like 30° out side the balcony, because that is where are food went for storage. Upon further inspection, there seemed to be some sort of an electrical issue in the commode, melted mirror frame presumably by the vanity. And the rooms heating system needs a serious cleaning. Not to be picky but this place has gone to crap. Hope to see a renovation in there future, for the prices, i won't be back.

This property is OLD - it is great need of upgrades. The water park is small, and the water is cold. There is also a pool and the kids spent some time there too. The pull out couch bed was so terrible, like sleeping directly on mattress springs. We borrowed a blow up mattress from our friends. The giant indoor sports facility was cool and the kids enjoyed using that space. The property looks beautiful, but the hotel itself needs a major overhaul. It was fine for one night. I would not spend a great deal of time there.

Cons: Beds were very uncomfortable. Only one outlet available. Typically People have more then one electronic device that needs charging.. WiFi was at 3.5 meg 👎 Pretty sure the US Postal Service is faster. Not sure if that was shampoo or water in the bottle? Only one blanket in the room.. had to turn the heat way up. Morning breakfast buffet was pretty sad.. Not a buffet at all.. Just just eggs, bacon, sausage, and diced potatoes.. For the love of god please don’t designate the front entry as the smoking spot.. I nor does anyone else want to walk through clouds of stinky smoke.. The whole lobby stunk of it.. Pros: Bacon was good and crispy Sunday breakfast buffet was really good.. Omelette bar, waffles, and much more.. Very good.. Rooms have been somewhat updated compared to the rest of the hotel. Staff was nice a service was great. The coffee in the restaurant was super good..

Great place to stay and hang out for a few drinks. Room was clean and comfortable.

It was tired. Needed a facelift. I went into the main dining room at 5:30 pm and was the only one in their for an hour or so.

This property needs to be updated. The food in the restaurant is excellent.

Outside of buildings need some maintenance. Neither whirlpool worked correctly.

Advertised as a room with a Lake view. I have been a road warrior this week and decided to pay up and treat myself on my last night on the road. DO NOT GO HERE. What I got was a dumpie cave like room in the basement with a view of a kids jungle jim. I requested a change to no avail. They didn’t care at all! See attached pictures. I even had a toddler staring through my sliding glass door this morning. They blamed their inability to make changes on Orbitz.

We have been here many times and we are never disappointed. Nice, big rooms and friendly staff. The water park is nice and there are many activities for kids if all ages. We will be back again.

We arrived on Christmas morning - in time to have great Christmas Buffet, before going to our rooms. We booked family rooms and a kitchenette for our group. The family room were spacious - with more than enough room for the younger people to hang out and relax. the kitchenette included a dining room table - with room for games and a place to meet for room service and snacks. The water park was a hit with the kids as well as the adults. It was -15 during our stay - but we still enjoyed going to Ande's Mountain to go snow tubing for a few hours. A great place to create family memories.

A beautiful weather weekend. We ate at the restaurant three times! Enjoyed walks around the property.

Pictures deceiving on the website as the waterpark is not open during weekdays in the winter and requires extra money to obtain a pass. Staff rude and did not give us the type of room we paid for on Orbitz. When this was pointed out, they stated we would have to contact Orbitz. Contacted Orbitz and they called hotel and got it straightened out for us. However, hotel staff insisted that it was not there fault when they clearly were trying to give me a less expensive room than what I had already paid for. The pool is okay. The view is nice. The rooms are dated and the toilet kept running after each flush.

The resort had great amenities for the kids and relaxing for parents.

Unfortunately there is not much to choose from in Alexandria. Arrowwood is really the only choice if you want a 3+star experience. You are paying for the lovely location more than lush and luxurious rooms though... The staff was nice but a big "rough around the edges" and all seemed to be in their teens... All that being said - this is the best choice in the area and highly recommended simply due to this. I think a little competition would be good for us all.

The hotel is clean and quiet, and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Hi Ruth, thank you for your review. We alternate closing our Rest and Rafter's lounge due to low number of guests AND now with this COVID 19, we have to be careful. We still did serve food up in Rafter's. Very sorry for the inconvenience. Glad you enjoyed your room and facility though. We hope you can come back. Thank you for choosing Arrowwood.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We take them all in to consideration and appreciate the feedback. We would like to switch out the mattress on the pull out sofa, but since you didn't leave a name or room number I can't fix the problem. If you would like to call us and let us know, that would be appreciated. Sorry for the inconvenience. We do know that the hotel is in need of some upgrading. Thank you again for your review
