Clean and friendly...could use more soap and supplies in room.

Relative new property in the area. very good hot breakfast included. Friendly staff. Price is very reasonable. I recommend it very much. Only thing that I don't like is that an abandoned house and surrounding trash on the east side of property ground. they should be cleaned/removed up sooner than later.

The area does not offer a lot of options and I did a lot of research before choosing this hotel. The hotel was in great condition. The room was spacious as was the bathroom. It was great to have a good sized frig, counter and extra sink. It was very clean and comfortable with great TV. My only downside was the breakfast was not that great but there are plenty of McDonald's, Starbucks, etc. nearby.

Hotel has been renovated recently, very nice.

The Sunset Inn was a pleasant surprise. It was the best overnight stay of our road trip. The facility is very new and the staff is friendly. The bedroom was bigger than most, as was the bathroom. It is a just a little bit off the beaten path but, worth the extra effort to get there. The breakfast was very good and exceedingly appreciated since we travelled during the virus crisis. We were very well rested and content as we left in the morning.

Greeted by friendly staff. Hotel looks and smells new. Room was very clean and had a microwave and a refrigerator. Breakfast was excellent.

Nice room, nice breakfast, nice staff, close to many sites and several national Parks.

All was good. Looked near new condition. Location is a bit odd but place to eat 100 yards away was good.

Friendly staff-clean rooms. Good location if you want to ride the scenic Rio Grande.

Very clean, very comfortable room and excellent services

Very clean room and personable staff. We will be back! Thank you!

The staff is very friendly, and the property is only two years old. They are currently undergoing an expansion to double their capacity. We stayed in a ground floor room on the front side of the property, facing the parking lot. The walls are paper-thin...we could hear the phone ringing in the room upstairs, as well as people talking in the hallways and outside in the middle of the night. The breakfast was mostly pre-packaged muffins, etc. so we skipped it and went into town.

This property seemed like it would be very nice. Upon checking in, the staff was very nice. Upon entering our room, it seemed very nice, however, there were things about this stay we found unacceptable and I think people reading this should know about them: 1. Inside our closet were three used napkins. The closet is right next to the bed and I did not want to touch them. 2. There were three styrofoam cups left on our counter. We thought these were left as drinking cups, like you would find in every hotel room. However, when we went to use them, the had the remains of SOMEONE ELSE'S COFFEE in them! How did the cleaning staff not see that? That is just gross! 3. As if the coffee thing wasn't gross enough, unfortunately there is more. In the morning when I went to the complimentary breakfast, they have the standard waffle iron that so many hotels let you make your own waffles at. However, for whatever reason this hotel wanted their staff to make the waffles. OK fine. I took some pre-made waffles from the heating container. They were already cold but I ate them anyway. Just after finishing them, they ran out and another guest had to get staff to make more. I watched this lady make the waffles, then PICK THEM UP WITH HER BARE HANDS and carry them WITH HER BARE HANDS to the heating container. Then, WITH HER BARE HANDS she tore the waffles into quarters. Not even those cheap clear plastic gloves, just bare hands! I was pretty grossed out at that point.
