Convenient location! Nice room and friendly staff.

Room was comfortable. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom has glass door. So no privacy to guest in bed. Could not get a reservation of dinner as they were fully booked when we arrived and several restaurants in town were closed on Wednesday’s

Very modern very good service good food plenty of parking

We stayed at the only suite in the hotel which we got at a great rate. We have stayed there before and highly recommend this hotel. The suite is fantastic and the other rooms are great too. The hotel has fantastic views, especially if you stay on the two top floors. There is no gym, which is a downside, but we have membership at a local chain in town. The swimming pool is right across the street and the downtown is a short walk away with lots of restaurants and bars. There is skiing within 10 minutes and lots of other activities. We love the Christmas Garden which is open year round. Go to Akureyri, you will love it.

Comfortable hotel, great service. The hotel looked newer and the atmosphere was very modern.

Nice hotel with good parking. Close walking distance to Center.

Nice hotel, good breakfast. Minuses: 1) located on the hill, too far and too steep to come back from a stroll easily; 2) toiet glass door doesn't close completely; 3) shower is on the other side of the bed from the toilet and just behind the curtain, no door.

Orbitz website during booking stated that the Old wing rooms are smaller so I booked a larger room with higher price. I still got room in Old wing, Hotel reception staff stated tor hat actually the Old wing rooms are larger than the new wing. Decided not to press this issue farther. Not sure if I got what I paid for.

The hotel is modern, clean and efficiently laid out. It is up the hill from the main shopping streets and water. It's across the street from the community pool which is well worth a visit for the water slides alone. Only downside, we thought breakfast was included in the rate and it was not. The food prices in Iceland are astronomical. It was not a good buffet for $30/per person. Not worth it. Go down the hill for better food at lower prices.

This is our third time staying at the hotel in two years, now in summer for the first time. The hotel is excellent and so are the views. Its only a 5-10 min walk to downtown. If you love biking, hiking, boating and skiing in beautiful nature then this is the place to go and the hotel to stay at. Lovely hotel garden and great food. We look forward coming back soon.

hotel nears supermarket, restaurant and gas station as it's a really small town

This place is great. Beautiful views, and wonderful atmosphere. Main problem is location. It is at the top of a very big hill so walking home from town can be tough for someone who is not in shape . Also, there are not any shops or cafes nearby so you are pretty much stuck using the hotel. But despite that, it is a great place.

Avoid, not a reputable and honorable business who would prefer to operate. Do yourself a favor and select another hotel.

I booked very last minute but the hotel staff was very accommodating.

Great location for exploring the city. Only spent one night there, but easily could have used it as a base to walk about the city for a couple of days.

We loved the cleanliness and the family rooms. It would have been better if both our rooms were adjoined. Location was great
